As the temperatures begin their annual spring-time climb into “swimming friendly” temperatures, it’s time to start thinking about getting your backyard ready for summer. We receive many calls each year wondering when the best time is to schedule their pool spring opening in Utah.
1) If you’re already thinking it, the answer is probably: now! The closer the calendar is to Memorial Day weekend, the more you increase your chance of delaying the opening of your swimming pool.
2) As soon as you want to use it! If the weather is warming up and you’re ready to take the plunge, the time is now. Some swimming pool owners even use their pools year-round (Yes! Even in the snow!)
3) You’ll want to have your swimming pool up and running no less than three weeks before your first pool party. This will allow plenty of time to account for any necessary repairs or delays. If you’re hoping to throw a Memorial Day Weekend bash, it’s best to call no later than a month in advance.
4) If you’re still unsure, the best time to schedule your swimming pool spring opening is the beginning of April. Mother nature may determine the temperature, but you can be ready to swim as soon as she is!
